How much does earwax removal cost?
Earwax removal appointments are available for just £49, including one or both ears. This includes a full ear health check and professional clinical advice.
Blocked ears, muffled hearing, or persistent ear itching can affect your comfort and your confidence. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, an earwax removal appointment can bring fast, safe relief.
At House of Hearing Galashiels, we provide safe, professional earwax removal appointments for just £49, helping you hear clearly and comfortably again. Our service is ENT nurse-led, and all appointments are carried out by specialist practitioners in dedicated clinics, placing your privacy, comfort, and safety first.
Your appointment will begin with a full ear health check and discussion of your medical history. Your clinician will then examine your ears using medical-grade magnification in order to assess and recommend the safest and most effective removal method for your ears.
Our Earwax Removal methods:
A gentle suction device is used to safely and precisely remove earwax under magnification.
A controlled jet of warm water is used to flush out soft or moist earwax.
For wax near the outer ear, specialist tools may be used for careful manual removal.
Many of our clinics also include a complementary hearing screening as part of your appointment, helping you better understand your hearing health. We also offer Free Hearing Tests, should your clinician recommend a more comprehensive hearing assessment.

When it comes to your ears, expertise matters. Every appointment is carried out by trained clinical practitioners who hold specialist training in ear and hearing health.
Whether you visit us for a routine appointment or specialist support, you can be confident your ear health is in safe, experienced hands.
If earwax removal isn't clinically necessary, we will not carry out treatment.
You will still get value from the cost of your appointment with a full ear health assessment and expert guidance on the potential cause of your symptoms. If we identify something other than wax causing a blockage or obstruction, we may offer you a referral to another medical professional.
If no wax is present, but you have reported a hearing loss or reduction, we may also offer you a referral for a Free Hearing Test so you can begin understanding your current hearing health.
