Audiologist & Clinical Ear Care Practitioner
Pamela Tokely is an Audiologist and Clinical Ear Care Practitioner based in Galashiels, bringing decades of experience across both healthcare and hearing care.
Pamela began her career in the NHS in 1979, working as an Auxiliary Nurse and later as a Nursing Assistant across a range of settings, including elderly care, mental health services and outpatient departments. This extensive background has shaped her compassionate, patient-first approach and her ability to support individuals with a wide range of needs.
She later moved into audiology as a technician, where she developed specialist skills in hearing aid repairs and adjustments. Building on this experience, Pamela went on to complete her Diploma in Hearing Aid Audiology at Queen Margaret University in 2011, further strengthening her clinical expertise .
Pamela supports patients across both hearing care and ear health, including hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings and earwax removal. Her dual role allows her to take a joined-up approach, recognising the close relationship between ear health and hearing, and ensuring that patients receive clear, well-rounded care.
She takes the time to ensure every patient feels comfortable and well supported, combining clinical experience with a calm and reassuring manner.
As Pamela explains, “I enjoy working at House of Hearing as the team is so welcoming, and the clinical environment is clean, calm and professional.”
Pamela’s experience and caring approach make her a trusted clinician for patients in Galashiels and from across the Scottish Borders.
