Treatment criteria

For treatment to be carried out safely, children must be able to sit still for the duration of the procedure. If you are unsure whether this will be manageable for your child, our team can advise you before booking.

What to expect on the day

Your appointment will begin with a friendly introduction and a gentle explanation of what will happen. We take time to ensure your child feels comfortable and understands what to expect.

Your clinician will then carry out:

  1. A full ear examination
  2. Photographs to document ear health
  3. Tympanometry if needed (ear air pressure test)
  4. Safe removal of earwax
  5. Aftercare advice and recommendations

You will receive a written summary to share with your GP or keep for future reference.
