Lead Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Trainer

Emma Williams is a Clinical Lead Nurse Practitioner and Trainer based in Edinburgh, bringing a strong clinical background and a passion for high-quality patient care.

Emma qualified as a registered nurse at the University of Dundee with a degree in Adult Nursing, before gaining experience in both acute medical settings and care homes. During her time working in care homes, she frequently supported individuals with hearing difficulties, which sparked a strong interest in hearing and ear health and a desire to develop her expertise in this area.

Since joining House of Hearing, Emma has become a key part of the clinical ear care team, delivering safe and effective treatment while maintaining a calm and reassuring environment for patients.

Her commitment to high standards of care has led to her role as a Clinical Trainer, where she supports the development of new clinicians across the group, sharing best practice in aural care and helping to maintain consistency in clinical excellence. Emma is also trained in paediatric ear care, enabling her to support both adults and children with earwax removal.

Emma takes a thoughtful and patient-centred approach, ensuring that every individual feels comfortable, informed and confident throughout their appointment.

As Emma explains, “I love meeting people from all walks of life . The most rewarding part of my role is seeing the difference it makes when someone can hear clearly again.”

Emma’s clinical expertise , approachable manner and commitment to excellence make her a trusted and reassuring clinician for patients in Edinburgh.
