Sarah Cottam
Clinical Ear Care Practitioner
Sarah Cottam is a Clinical Ear Care Practitioner based in Morpeth, bringing a broad and varied background in healthcare, training and patient support.
Sarah began her career as an Auxiliary Nurse within the NHS, working across infectious disease wards and emergency care settings, as well as supporting patients in a pharmacy advisory role. This experience provided a strong clinical foundation and a deep understanding of patient care across a range of environments.
Alongside her healthcare work, Sarah has also held leadership and training roles, including developing award-winning spa and wellbeing facilities and delivering teaching in subjects such as healthcare anatomy and physiology. This combination of clinical knowledge and teaching experience continues to shape her thoughtful and confident approach to patient care.
At House of Hearing, Sarah provides ear care using all recognised methods of earwax removal, including microsuction, irrigation and instrumentation. She takes a calm and supportive approach, ensuring that patients feel comfortable, informed and reassured throughout their appointment.
Sarah understands that seeking help for ear or hearing concerns can feel daunting, and she places great importance on creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Her focus is on helping patients feel at ease while delivering safe, effective care that makes a meaningful difference to their comfort and everyday life.
As Sarah explains, “ I’m passionate about supporting people on their health journey. Being able to help someone feel more comfortable and confident, both during their appointment and afterwards, is what makes this work so rewarding.”
Sarah’s experience, empathy and reassuring manner make her a trusted practitioner for patients in Morpeth and the surrounding area.
