Peter Sydserff

MSHAA RHAD

Clinical Director

Since qualifying as an audiologist in 1996, Peter has remained at the forefront of hearing care, building a career defined by clinical excellence, leadership and a deep commitment to improving patients’ lives. His experience spans both frontline clinical practice and senior leadership roles, giving him a unique perspective on how hearing care should be delivered, not just as a service, but as an ongoing relationship built on trust, expertise and understanding.

Peter is widely recognised across the profession for his contribution to audiology in the UK. He previously served as President of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA), where he played a key role in advancing professional standards and supporting clinicians nationwide.

In 2025, he was awarded a Special Recognition Award by BSHAA in acknowledgement of his outstanding contribution to both the profession and the wider hearing care sector. He continues to shape the future of audiology as Chair of the Clinical Committee at the National Community Hearing Care Association (NCHA), working collaboratively to promote best practice and ensure the highest standards of care are upheld across community services.

Alongside his clinical and professional leadership, Peter has also held senior roles within the hearing technology sector, including leading one of Switzerland’s leading hearing aid manufacturers in the UK. This combination of clinical expertise and industry insight allows him to bridge the gap between technology and real-world patient needs, ensuring that innovation is always grounded in what truly makes a difference to people’s lives.

As Clinical Director of House of Hearing, Peter leads the organisation’s clinical direction and standards across its growing network of clinics. His focus is on ensuring that every patient receives the highest level of care, delivered with consistency, precision and compassion. He works closely with clinical teams to maintain rigorous standards while fostering an approach that is always centred around the individual.

For Peter, hearing care is not simply about diagnosing or treating hearing loss. It is about understanding each person’s experience, taking the time to listen, and supporting them in staying connected to the people and moments that matter most. His longstanding commitment to the profession reflects an enduring mission to raise standards in audiology and ensure that every patient benefits from exceptional hearing care.
