Miranda Morey

Miranda Morey is an Audiologist based in Edinburgh, bringing a wealth of clinical experience and a deeply compassionate approach to hearing care.

She began her career as a Speech and Language Therapist, working closely with both children and adults, including those with hearing loss. Through this work, she developed a strong understanding of communication and its importance in everyday life. It was during her time supporting auditory rehabilitation within the cochlear implant programme at the Portland Hospital in London that she developed a particular interest in audiology, leading her to complete a Master’s degree in Audiological Science.

Since qualifying, Miranda has worked across both adult and paediatric audiology within the NHS, including roles at the Royal Surrey County Hospital and NHS Lothian. Most recently, she served as a Senior Audiologist and Team Lead in Paediatric Audiology, supporting children and families with complex hearing needs.

Miranda brings this breadth of experience into her work at House of Hearing, where she focuses on delivering personalised, thoughtful care that reflects each individual’s lifestyle and communication needs. Her background in speech and language therapy gives her a unique perspective, helping her support not just hearing, but how people connect, communicate and engage with the world around them.

She is a member of both the Academy for Healthcare Science and the British Academy of Audiology, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional development and clinical excellence.

As Miranda explains, “ I’m passionate about the difference that high-quality hearing technology, delivered in a kind and supportive environment, can make to people’s lives. Hearing well helps us stay connected to the people and moments that matter. Being able to support someone on that journey, and provide truly personalised aftercare, is a privilege.”
