Mara Wilson

Mara Wilson is an Audiologist and Ear Care Practitioner based in Edinburgh, bringing a warm, people-focused approach to both hearing and ear care.

Mara began her journey with House of Hearing in a clinic support role, where she quickly developed a strong interest in hearing and aural care. Motivated by a desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, she went on to train within the team, building her clinical skills and progressing into her current dual role.

This experience gives Mara a unique perspective. Having supported patients from their first interaction through to clinical care, she understands the importance of making every step of the journey feel welcoming, clear and reassuring.

Mara supports patients with both hearing care and ear health, including earwax removal and hearing assessments. She takes a thoughtful and personalised approach, ensuring that each patient feels comfortable, informed and confident in their care.

She enjoys working across both areas, recognising how closely ear health and hearing are connected, and how the right support can make an immediate and meaningful difference to everyday life.

As Mara explains, “I enjoy being part of a team where everyone is supportive and working towards the same goal. Knowing that we’re making a difference to people’s everyday lives is what makes the role so rewarding.”
