Astra Dodge

Astra is a Clinical Ear Care Practitioner and Audiologist at our Bexhill clinic, bringing a compassionate approach and a genuine passion for helping people improve their hearing and wellbeing. 

Astra began her career in audiology during the COVID-19 pandemic, having previously worked within a high street optical and hearing care provider. Fascinated by the science of hearing and the intricate workings of the ear, she decided to pursue a degree in Audiological Science and build a career dedicated to helping people hear better and live more confidently. 

For Astra, the most rewarding part of her role is meeting a wide variety of patients and seeing the immediate difference ear care can make to their daily lives. Combining her expertise in both clinical ear care and hearing aid audiology, she takes pride in providing clear advice, personalised care, and practical tailored solutions. 

Astra's understanding of hearing loss is also deeply personal. Having grown up with a younger brother who was born deaf in one ear, she has seen the first-hand challenges that hearing difficulties can present, as well as the positive impact that effective treatment and hearing technology can have on a person's quality of life. 

Known for her gentle and reassuring manner, Astra understands that many people can feel nervous about attending appointments or undergoing treatment. She is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive experience, taking the time to ensure every patient feels comfortable, informed, and well-cared for throughout their visit. Working closely with the front-of-house team, Astra helps create a friendly and calming clinic environment centred around exceptional hearing care.
