House of Hearing has been helping people in the Scottish Borders to hear for the last four decades, and in 2006, we opened our permanent home there: our shop at 51 Bank Street, Galashiels. House of Hearing is the only hearing aid company with a base in the Borders. The Gala shop is managed by local lass Shona Jackson, who qualified as a hearing aid audiologist after an intensive two-year training programme.In addition to the Galashiels shop, we hold regular consultations in Hawick, at Occuleye opticians (58 High Street), and Peebles in A.L. Storey opticians (41 High Street).
But the shop, and the two locations in Hawick and Peebles, are only part of the work that House of Hearing carries out within the Borders. Shona, and other members of staff from House of Hearing, travel daily throughout the Borders, to visit customers in the comfort of their own home.
